St. Elijah Mom’s Day Out nurtures and challenges children in body, mind and spirit, laying a foundation for lifelong learning and Christian faith
St. Elijah provides a unique approach to learning that encompasses all aspects of the child: mind, body and soul.
Our teachers use the Montessori approach in directed individual and group learning times. Our program provides cognitive, motor and sensory activities designed to appeal specifically to the interests and abilities of babies and toddlers while developmentally appropriate language, social, and practical – life activities are offered to young children. Trust in the child to explore, self learn, and initiate are key in the classroom at St. Elijah.
The environment is prepared for this exploration, and children are encouraged to actively participate in the learning process. Children are given ample time to explore and play in our new outdoor playground facility and in our new state-of-the-art gymnasium during inclement weather.
Orthodox Christian teachings, values and principles are incorporated throughout the learning process at St. Elijah. The children will be introduced to prayer, stories from the Bible and Christian songs each day.
